ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE

Consider joining our Church Warden team at St Columba

At St Columba, our modern and spacious facilities — including our large sanctuary and flexible function rooms — are attractive to a wide range of community groups.  Opening our church to these groups provides us with an important form of community outreach, as well as generating some extra income for the church.  To support this mission, we would like to recruit some additional church wardens to join our current team. Warden duties may include opening and closing the church at the time of an event, welcoming visitors to the church and informing them of basic health and safety requirements, and rearranging chairs and other furniture.  Training will be provided. These are paid positions — we pay you by the hour for the time you serve. If you are interested in joining our team, or would like additional information, please contact Ilse in the church office or Maitland MacFarlan (Mob. 022 1377 986).

Media Operators Urgently needed

We are urgently seeking new people to join our Audio-Visual team.

Please contact the office (admin@stcolumba.org.nz) if you are able to serve in this ministry.

Back on Sunday 8th February during the 10:30am services

Bible Study Fellowship

BSF is back on Monday 2 February from 7pm-8:30pm

This year's study, Exile and Return, invites you on a powerful journey through the Old Testament, where God's people were called to build His kingdom in a foreign land.  Their story is our story - we, too, are strangers in a broken world, called to build for His glory. As we explore how God equips and positions His people, we're challenged to ask:  "Am I building my life for Christ?" Exile and Return reminds us that our time to build is now.

Books included in the year's study:  Ezekiel,  Daniel, Ezra, Esther, Haggai, Zechariah, Nehemiah and Malachi.

Have you been part of our church community for a while, but aren’t sure how to get involved?

Are you wondering whether there’s a place for someone like you to serve? The answer is yes! If you have a heart to serve and a desire to be part of what God is doing here, we welcome you to step in and make a difference. No matter your experience, there’s a place for you.

Learn more about the many opportunities to serve.

We gently encourage you to remember St Columba in your will or estate plans. Bequests – no matter the size – can help us realize our visions for ministry and mission. If you would like to discuss this matter further, please feel free to talk to Caleb. Thank you for your faithful support.
