BOTANY BABIES - Two or three times a week, one of the team visits new mums at the Botany Birthing Unit, taking a small hand-made gift made by our team of knitters. More helpers are always welcome.

COFFEE ROSTER - You work in pairs to prepare Coffee and Tea for attenders at either the 8:30am or 10:30am service. Training is given on procedures and how to use the dishwasher.

Or you can train to be a barista to provide special coffee on request.

ESOL - English for Speakers of Other Languages.  This group spends time with new English speakers in conversational language and socialising. Helpers are needed who are willing to teach and help new immigrants to assimilate to our way of life and training will be given.

FLOWERS - If you have a talent for floral arranging we would love an extra pair of hands to help keep our church arrangements fresh. Most of the church flowers are artificial so only need minimal maintenance, but sometimes we need to re-arrange things for a special occasion.

GARDENS - . If you love gardening, pruning and planting, we would love you to join our team of green-fingers to look after the gardens around the church property. Join the team each Thursday from 9am to noon to work and break for a cuppa at about 10am.

HANDYMAN - Do you have good DIY skills and are available from time to time to do minor repairs and maintenance, or even to help with odd jobs like taking out the rubbish wheely bin.

HOMEGROUP LEADER - Do you feel led to take a small group in Bible study and fellowship. This could be in your home or at the church premises.

MEDIA TEAMS - There are opportunities in several roles, and training will be given in each of the systems

  • AV operators require proficiency with computers and Microsoft Windows.
  • Media designers set up the AV presentations for each service in advance.
  • Video operators control the remote cameras and broadcast the services live.
  • Sound techs operate the sound desk and set up microphones etc.

MUSICIANS - Do you have a talent for singing or playing a musical instrument? We would love to have you join the teams to help lead sung worship on Sundays. The team rostered on for each Sunday usually meets on the previous Thursday evening for practice. 

OP SHOP - Mondays are for re-stocking, sorting and pricing, with morning tea and fresh baking to share. The Op shop is open for business on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings from 9am to 12:30pm.  We would love new helpers to serve in the shop and help prepare items for sale.

PLAYGROUP - meets on weekdays during school terms from 9:30 to 11:30am. Helpers are needed to assist the Playgroup Coordinator to supervise, set up and pack away equipment and assist where needed on the day.

SNIPPERS - This group meets from 9am to 11am once a fortnight on Wednesdays during school terms, to prepare and cut out crafts for the children at SuperKids and Playgroup.  We meet in the café and share in a cup of tea and often fresh baking.

SUPERKIDS - meet on Sundays during the 10:30am service except in school holidays. Helpers are always welcome to assist in setting up and packing away and to assist Beryl as needed.

WEBSITE - If you have experience with maintaining a website, or have a talent for creating digital graphics, we would love you to assist our administrator with keeping our website (Squarespace) fresh. This would only be occasionally when new topics need to be created.

If you have a gift for welcoming people, especially newcomers, and are willing to serve on several Sundays in a row we would love to have you join the team. We have a different Welcomer on the door for 8:30am and 10:30am services so please indicate your preferred time in the comments below..
